Each surgery is on a case-by-case basis. Surgery requires the commitment of the patient to maintain a healthy diet and exercise program, as well as maintain continuous monitoring by the attending physician. There have been cases where patients do not lose enough weight or do not lose the weight that they expected, but a patient's success is largely dependent on the person.

Some people may choose to undergo reconstructive surgery to further tone and enhance their figure. Although it's not necessary, be aware that the skin may sag a little but can be minimized with proper diet and exercise.
